Korteba

Korteba is a steroidal anti-inflammatory in aqueous suspension, useful in the treatment of inflammatory processes, metabolic disorders and as a complement to antimicrobial therapy, which is used in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, dogs, cats.

Indication

 

Korteba can be used to:

1) Intravenous therapy in case where emergency treatment is indicated particularly shock and circulatory collapse, acute mastitis and burns.

2) Acetonemia (ketosis) in cattle, Korteba has a marked glycogenic action.

3) For inflammatory conditions in all species; Korteba will eliminate inflammation and is indicated in the treatment of arthritis, laminitis (excluding horses), dermatitis.

• Cattle, Sheep and Goats:
  As a complement in the antibiotic therapy of septic processes in calves and adult cattle such as septicemia, polyarthritis, mastitis, etc. In metabolic disorders such as ketosis, Korteba is useful for its stimulating action on gluconeogenesis. It is also useful in indigestion due to its antitoxic action. In inflammatory processes of the musculoskeletal system such as carpitis, bursitis, laminitis, etc. Korteba has an excellent antiphlogistic effect.
• Horses:
  The main indication in this species is for the resolution of inflammatory processes of the musculoskeletal system.
• Pigs:
  In association with antibiotics in the therapies of E. rhusiopathiae infections , to prevent joint and cardiac complications, in the therapy of arthritis and in the MMA complex (Metritis, Mastitis, Agalactia).
• Dogs and cats:
  Arthritis and arthrosynovitis in conjunction with antibiotic therapy, rebellious pruritus of unknown etiology, allergies and eczema.

Additional information

Korteba is contraindicated in animals with osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus and pregnant animals.

Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption until 21 days after the last treatment.

Cow’s milk should not be consumed until 72 hours after the last treatment.

Corticosteroids are not recommended for use in pregnant animals.

In the presence of bacterial infections, antibacterial drugs are usually required when using steroids.

After the first dose is extracted, the product must be used within the next 28 days.
