Dexamax Formula:
Every 100 ml contains:
     Dexamethasone (disodium phosphate)

Indication:
Indicated for use in cattle, sheep, goats, swine, horses, dogs and cats when a potent anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-rheumatic action is needed or especially in cases of bovine ketosis due to its metabolic action.

Routes of administration:  Administer intramuscularly, intravenously or intra-articularly. It can be combined in intravenous infusions with antibiotics, calcium solutions and antitoxics.

Contraindications:
One should be aware that, when used during the last trimester of pregnancy,  DEXAMAX  can induce labor, with all its attendant complications (dystocia, fetal death, retained placenta and metritis);
Do not use in horses intended for human consumption;
Do not use in cases of viral infections;
Contraindicated in animals with tuberculosis, chronic nephritis, Cushing’s syndrome, peptic ulcers, except when used for emergency therapy; DEXAMAX
should be used  as carefully as possible in cases of infectious diseases, bleeding and/or gastrointestinal perforations, corneal ulcers,  diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, kidney disease and heart disease. In cases of infection support therapy, the use of the antimicrobial should be continued for at least 3 days after the last application of the corticosteroid;
Horses treated with more than 5 mg may experience somnolence and lethargy which disappears after 24 hours;
DEXAMAX  should be at approximately body temperature at the time of application.

Withdrawal Period:  cattle, goats, sheep and swine: Slaughter: the slaughter of treated animals should only be carried out 21 days after the last application. horses: slaughter: this product should not be applied to horses destined for slaughter for human consumption. cattle, goats, sheep: milk: zero shortage.
