Biocillin 150 LA Composition:

Description:

Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic broad-spectrum penicillin with a bactericidal action against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The range of effect includes Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, penicillinase negative Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. The bactericidal action is due to inhibition of cell wall synthesis. Amoxicillin is mainly excreted in urine. A major part can also be excreted in bile.

 

Indications:

Gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by amoxicillin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, penicillinase negative Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine.

 

Contra indications:

Hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, administration to animals with a seriously impaired renal function.

 

Dosage:

For intramuscular administration. General:  1 ml per 10 kg body weight, repeatable if necessary after 48 hours. Shake well before use and do not administer more than 20 ml in cattle, more than 10 ml in swine and more than 5 ml in calves, sheep and goats per injection site.

 

Withdrawal periods:

For meat : 21 days.

For milk : 3 days.

 

Storage conditions:

Store in the dark at room temperature of 15-25˚C.

La description:

L’amoxicilline est une pénicilline semi-synthétique à large spectre avec une action bactéricide contre les bactéries Gram-positives et Gram-négatives. La gamme d’effets comprend Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus à pénicillinase négative et Streptococcus spp. L’action bactéricide est due à l’inhibition de la synthèse de la paroi cellulaire. L’amoxicilline est principalement excrétée dans l’urine. Une grande partie peut également être excrétée dans la bile.

 

Les indications:

Infections gastro-intestinales, respiratoires et urinaires causées par des micro-organismes sensibles à l’amoxicilline, comme Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E. coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus à pénicillinase négative et Streptococcus spp. chez les veaux, les bovins, les chèvres, les moutons et les porcs.

 

Contre-indications:

Hypersensibilité à l’amoxicilline, administration à des animaux dont la fonction rénale est gravement altérée.

 

Dosage:

Pour administration intramusculaire. Général: 1 ml par 10 kg de poids corporel, répétable si nécessaire après 48 heures. Bien agiter avant utilisation et ne pas administrer plus de 20 ml chez les bovins, plus de 10 ml chez les porcs et plus de 5 ml chez les veaux, ovins et caprins par site d’injection.

 

Délais de retrait:

Pour la viande: 21 jours.

Pour le lait: 3 jours.
